I'm currently sitting in my car with my dog, Flash, who is excitedly wagging his tail and panting in anticipation. We're about to head into a pet store to pick up some necessities for him, including a dog bed and bowls. Flash is a big dog, and he requires a lot of care and attention.
I've had Flash for several years now, and he's become an integral part of our family. He's a husky, which means that he sheds a lot. In fact, his hair is all over my car, and it will likely be there for life. But I don't mind. Flash is worth it.
As I sit here with Flash, I can't help but think about how much my kids are going to love seeing him. They've been begging me for a dog for months, and I think that Flash will be the perfect test to see if they're ready for the responsibility.
Of course, Flash is a handful. He's strong and energetic, and he requires a lot of exercise. He's always pulling on his leash, trying to explore and sniff out new scents. But he's also incredibly smart and loyal. He's a great companion, and I know that he'll bring a lot of joy to our family.
