It has a clearer sound on all frequencies and a tighter, punchier bass. The R1700BT also has better vocal reproduction for movies compared to the R1280T.
However, the R1280T is still a good choice if you have a limited budget or don't need Bluetooth connectivity. It offers good sound quality and performs well on all frequencies.
