I recently had the opportunity to explore the rabbit R1, a much-hyped AI assistant from a company called rabbit Incorporated. The device promises to handle a variety of tasks, from ordering food to calling a ride. However, my investigation into the company and its founder, Jesse, revealed some troubling information.

At first, I wanted to give Jesse and rabbit Incorporated the benefit of the doubt. After all, every tech company deserves a chance to introduce themselves before being subjected to criticism. But as I delved deeper into the company's history, I discovered that there was much more to the story.

It turns out that rabbit Incorporated was originally registered under a different name, cyber manufacturer Co. This name change is significant because cyber manufacturer Co had separately raised venture capital for a completely different project: an NFT platform called gamma. When I confronted Jesse about this, he downplayed the significance of gamma, calling it a "fun little project" that he was involved with in the past.

But as I soon discovered, gamma was anything but a "fun little project." In fact, it was a multi-million dollar project that Jesse had heavily promoted as the future of NFTs and clean energy. He had even promised to release a "carbon negative Bitcoin 2.0" as part of the project.

So why was Jesse now distancing himself from gamma? And why had he changed the name of the company? As I soon discovered, it was because gamma had turned out to be a failure. The project had raised millions of dollars, but it had never delivered on its promises. The NFTs had never taken off, and the clean energy initiatives had never materialized.

This was troubling enough, but it got worse. As I dug deeper into rabbit Incorporated's history, I discovered that the company had a pattern of abandoning its investors. With gamma, Jesse had promised the world and delivered nothing. And now, with the rabbit R1, he was doing the same thing all over again.

Despite the hype surrounding the rabbit R1, the device is built on a foundation of lies and broken promises. The company behind it has a history of abandoning its investors, and there is no reason to believe that the rabbit R1 will be any different. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend the rabbit R1 to anyone. It may have a sleek design and a charismatic founder, but at the end of the day, it is a product built on a foundation of sand.
